Economy in Recovery - Snicker

Ever wonder what happened to the Cloud-Nine pundits that used phrases like "New Economy," "Momentum Investing," "Click 'n Mortar," "E-tailers," "Information Age Paradigms," and "Synergistic" (here is a thorough list of such buzzwords)?

Well wonder no more, they all managed to keep their jobs and now spend their days talking about The Recovery™ that will magically materialize within the next few weeks (as they continue to think that the Federal Reserve and/or the State can bail the world + dog out).

Here is a great illustration that depicts this situation today (from Lew):

My investor amigo Jason opined:

Who were the people who figured "Momentum Investing" was a reasonable thing to do?

"If the stock went up today, it will go up tomorrow..."

Eerily enough, some people invested their lifesavings with such enlightened boobs -- making this blogger ponder these adages:

- Who is more the fool, the fool, or the fool that follows him?
- A fool and his money are soon parted.

Hehe, Todd you crack me up (though, I really do know some people that aren't joking when they say something like that).
